Hola! Families and couples planning their Spring Break vacation in Northeast Florida need to put Amelia Island on their itinerary ... Aside from the white sandy beaches, historic sites and good ol' Southern charm, a passion for the arts will lure visitors to the area.
Amelia Island will showcase a talented group of artists at the Artrageous Artwalks, held the second Saturday of every month from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. This new cultural celebration is free to the public and will feature 13 of the island's amazing art galleries including Blue Door Artists, ChocoLate Soup and Wall Art Gallery.
From fine art, photography, pottery and watercolors to acrylics, stained glass and copper, art lovers will have an exquisite evening seeing incredible works of art by local artists and enjoying the historic district. Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the artists behind the work.
The following dates are scheduled for Artrageous Artwalks: March 14, April 11 and May 9. For more information, call 800-226-3542.
After a good dose of art, I suggest you head to The Palace. This local watering hole will make you appreciate the historic and soulful spirit of this destination.
Have fun! Ciao! |
