Hola! I had a great day today... Actually, it was a stunning day! My partner in crime, Sharron, and I headed for a little play time on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach. We had a wonderful lunch at Ms. Yips Chinese Cafe (the dumplings are to die for), and then we did some window shopping to enjoy the wonderful Florida weather.
After our stroll on Lincoln Road, we still had a few hours to kill before our kids got out of school. So we hopped in the car and headed to Coconut Grove to check out the local boutiques.
Searching for a specific pair of sandals I need for a dress, we made our way to Butter. This small shoe boutique opened its doors last year and has become a shoe heaven in this neighborhood for two reasons:
First, the selection of shoes Ellyn and Jennifer Lavigne (owners) have assembled is to die for...Part of their collection Marc Jacobs, Sigerson Morrison, Delman, Missoni, Dolce Vita, Tapeet, and Matt Berson will make any woman go weak in the knees. The prices range from moderate to expensive, which is a good thing because they adapt to your wallet and checking account.
Second (and extremely important to me) is the service you receive. The girls in this boutique greet you with a beautiful smile and guide you to the shoes that, I promise, will speak to you. If you are a regular, not only do they know your name, but also the style of shoes you like. They then proceed to inform you which shoes are on sale that particular visit and when they are coming up.
This was a wonderful suprise to Sharron, since she finally walked away with Pedro Garcia's sexy boho chic sandals she has been eyeing for months! I was lucky, too. A beautiful pair Alexandre Birman's spoke my name, as I passed right next to them! They got to come home with me.
Indeed, a day with new shoes and time with 2Rs, is truly a good day! Ciao.
