Hola! I love accessories ... handbags, scarfs, shoes (I loooove shoes), sunglasses and jewelry. I especially love jewelry that is one-of-a-kind, adds a splash of personality to your outfit and yet does not break your bank! I am sure most women out there would agree with me that if they can find a custom-made piece of beautiful jewelry at a reasonable cost, they would be happy girls!

It is for this reason, I am introducing you to Diana Garcia-Sanchez, one of Miami's finest jewelry designers. When I was first introduced to her work (by my lovely sister, Adri), I couldn't get enough of her pieces. My husband is afraid that if I keep attending her trunk shows, I won't have enough space in my closet to fit my jewelry and shoes. I tell him, "If you think I am bad, go see Adri's collection of Diana's amazing pieces!"  

What makes Diana's jewelry stand out is the mix of stones and color combinations that she uses in her pieces as well as the variety of unique textures each has. Any one piece may have stones, carvings and/or chains from various parts of the world, and when she puts them together, she creates a very original look.

She loves to work with pearls and citrines, but she quickly points out she does not have a favorite stone. She views all stones as having their own character because of their texture, luminosity and history. By history, she means what part of the world it came from, how it was found, how rare is it and how long it has been around. All those characteristics and more give each stone personality. 

The price of most of her pieces in the collection range from $100 to $2,000. You can find her jewelry at Isabel's in South Miami (305-667-7497), Marissa's Collection in Naples (239-263-4333) and at trunk shows held periodically (which, I will post) and by a private appointments with the artist herself.
