National Trails Day Event Was Great!
June 09, 2009

In case you missed out on celebrating National Trails Day, I put together a video of the Florida Trail Association's event at Gold Head Branch State Park. The turnout was fantastic, with lots of people of all ages participating on the guided hike along the Ravine Trail.

I always love the conversation at outdoor events – plenty of people discussing birding, hiking, gear (lots of gear talk!), as well as past and future outings. There's always a diverse crowd, from the first-timers to the well seasoned veterans. It's easy to get hooked on attending these gatherings, simply because the people are so interesting and willing to share their knowledge.

Here the link to the video, hope you enjoy it! By the way, pay no attention to me clowning around in the beginning, I only had a few hours of sleep and was excited about getting up to Gold Head Branch State Park!
