Don't worry. Florida is far from freezing over. But if you're in search of that cozy autumn-into-winter feeling, you can get a taste of it (while not worrying about scraping ice off your car, happily) at the new outdoor ice skating rink opening this holiday season in Winter Park.
Not familiar with Winter Park? Have a look at my video about dining and shopping highlights in this upscale Central Florida town by clicking here.
Tonight is opening night at the new ice skating rink, located in Central Park West Meadow right in the heart of Winter Park. The rink will remain open through Jan. 3, 2010, and hours are as follows:
- Mon.-Thu., 3-9 p.m.
- Fri.-Sat., 10-10 p.m.
- Sun., noon-6 p.m.
You can skate all day for $10 per person, and rentals are included. Count on plenty of fanfare surrounding the action, too, including Santa appearances, carolers and more. Sign me up! |
