In what's pretty much the biggest hotel buzz in Central Florida in years, the Waldorf Astoria Orlando opens its doors to guests today. And to celebrate, the hotel is offering a Great Beginnings package, with rooms from $199 per night. When you book a stay of three or more nights by Oct. 31, 2009 (for travel by Dec. 24, 2009), you'll get a complimentary fourth night at the hotel. And if stay more than five nights in a row, and you'll automatically get a room upgrade tossed into the equation.
Wondering what all the excitement is about? The Orlando property is the first Waldorf Astoria to open outside of the Manhattan flagship. And today's opening marks exactly 78 years since the legendary Park Avenue hotel first began welcoming guests in New York City. I can't wait to spend a night at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando later this month, and I'll be looking forward to giving you a first-person report on all the offerings.
