A Wet and Wild Ride: Check out this Video from the Resort at Singer Island's Twisting Waterslide
August 27, 2009
I've had a few readers ask me to recommend luxury hotels with special pool amenities for kids. The most common request is for resorts with lazy rivers on property, of which I've sourced a few (the JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes has a great lazy river, and you can see my Q&A section for other recommendations). But if you ask me and my nieces, Maddy and Ella (the latter two are bonafide pool amenity experts), twisting waterslide action is where it's at! And all the better when the kids can partake in the fun while you're enjoying the other amenities at one of South Florida's finest family-friendly luxury resorts (and my favorite pick for all-around upscale family fun)!
Check out the You Tube video I've uploaded -- their Uncle Crizzy shot it of the girls recently, sliding down the twisty slide at the Resort at Singer Island with their dad. It's short but action-packed!
My nieces had hardly popped out of the water at the end of the ride before they were making their wobbly ways back up the stairs to the slide, shrieking 'Let's do it again!" Apart from Christmas morning, I've never seen them so excited. And I have to say the adults in our party thought the waterslide was a scream, too (though not as much fun as a massage at the resort's SiSpa, according to this Luxury Insider - but more on that later!).
That's my brother-in-law Matt with Maddy and Ella, getting their splash on at the Resort at Singer Island.
