Lately, I've really appreciated the amenities of suite-style hotels during long weekends away. It's so nice having the option of cooking yourself a meal, popping some clothes into the laundry or just kicking back on a comfy couch that makes you feel like you're home--with the benefit or resort amenities and a beautiful beach or pool just a few steps away. So I was excited to learn that the just-opened Hyatt Residence Club Siesta Key Beach is opening its 44 luxury private residences to the public until the fractional ownerships sell out and revert to private use only.
More than suites at a hotel, these are actual luxury residences--fully furnished--that you can rent for a few days or longer. And we're talking seriously high-end abodes, with Wolf, Sub-Zero and Fisher & Paykel appliances and leather and mahogany furnishings. Seriously spacious, too, with layouts that range from 1,865 to 3,000 square feet.
If you're looking for a luxury family getaway--or somewhere to spend time with a group--and appreciate resort amenities such as free kayaks and bicycles available for guest use, gym and spa facilities, daily continental breakfast and poolside cabanas, well, this is your place.
Check out the photos I've uploaded. They're pretty tempting. And the fact that this resort is within easy striking distance of Sarasota's many cultural offerings makes it all the more appealing, if you ask me! The beach at Siesta Key happens to be pure bliss, too.
