2008 World Golf Hall of Fame Inductees
November 11, 2008

Last night the World Golf Hall of Fame located in St. Augustine, Florida inducted the class of 2008.

The inductees were:

Sir Bob Charles from New Zealand who is still making cuts on the European Tour in his 70's!!

Carole Semple Thompson the most decorated female amateur of our time.

Herbert Warren Wind the noted writer who penned the most popular golf instruction manual ever "Hogan's 5 Lessons the Modern Fundamentals of Golf.

Pete Dye the well known golf course architect who is probably best known for his www.wgv.com/ island green hole at the TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra even though it was his wife Alice who initially came up with the idea.

Craig Wood who became the first person to ever win the Masters and the US Open in the same year.

Denny Shute, a 3 time Ohio Open champion and winner of the 1930 Los Angeles Open.

The World Golf Hall of Fame is a must visit for all golfers. While housing a great collection of memoribilia is what most Hall of Fames are known for this one also has 2 great courses and a wonderful hotel on site. Make some plans to spend a couple of days at this great golf museum and work on your game as well.
