Stop into the PGA Learning Center to Improve Your Game
May 27, 2008
I have just returned from a trip to the PGA Village in Port St. Lucie and I’ve got to tell you about the best practice area that I have ever seen.

Less than a mile east of I-95 is the PGA Learning Center run by the PGA of America. They have 35 acres of pure practice bliss. The PGA Learning Center has plenty of hitting stations – over 100, areas for pitch shots, a chipping green and a mammoth putting green. Different types of sand and bunkers to practice from allow you to get sharp for any upcoming golf trip.

There is a full staff of PGA golf professional instructors there to provide you with the proper guidance if you wish to take lessons. There are even three full size golf holes at the PGA Learning Center to let you take playing lessons with the pros.

You can also get fit with clubs on the range or with some very high tech equipment called the MAT T system by TaylorMade Golf. The MAT T consists of a group of high-speed cameras that measures and analyzes every feature of your set up and swing so that the golf professional may fit you with the best clubs for your characteristics.

Just one word of warning. Hitting balls at the PGA Learning Center is not work – it is very enjoyable and allows you to begin to see some improvement in your game.
But, I had such a good time beating all the brand new balls and using their other practice areas that I was really exhausted after my three-hour session. It is sort of like eating potato chips – you just can’t stop after just a few. I kept saying, “Just one more ball” and before I knew it I had banged out about four large buckets. The PGA Learning Center charges a very fair price for all this and they are open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. under the lights.

If you are even remotely serious about learning the game or improving your golf skill, give them a call at (800) 609-9067 or see their web site at www.pgavillage.com.

I’ll be doing a full story with lots of pictures on the PGA Village that includes the PGA Learning Center as well as the PGA Golf Club and PGA Historical Center so look for it on my golf page soon.
