Love 'n Golf
February 08, 2008
I have just been reminded that Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and since I am always looking for a way to play more golf I came up with two wonderful places to stay and play.

The WaterColor Inn in Santa Rosa Beach (near Destin in northwest Florida) is offering a “Signature Romance Package” that provides a beach view room, champagne, chocolate strawberries, a massage, breakfast and dinner. Add golf at the nearby Camp Creek Golf Club or the Greg Norman designed Shark’s Tooth GC to make this a perfect vacation. If your spouse doesn’t play golf very often but would like to take part, consider the close by Origins Golf Course that is perfect for he or she to participate in the sport without too much sand or water.

The top-notch PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens is presenting “The Romantic Rendezvous” that presents a fantastic room, champagne, strawberries, breakfast in bed the next morning and a spa treatment. Set up your tee times at any one of the five fantastic layouts there including the famous Champion Course to complete this dream.

I have recently had the pleasure of spending some time at each of these superb resorts and you can’t go wrong with either. This year forget the jewelry and go for the golf!
