Next Visit to the World Golf Village Stay at the “Gold Tee” Winner Renaissance Resort
June 06, 2009
A little over a year ago I had the pleasure of staying at the Renaissance Resort at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine. It was a first-rate hotel then, and now with a $10-million makeover to the property, I can only imagine how spectacular the place is currently.

The prestigious “2009 Gold Tee Award” was bestowed upon the Renaissance Resort by Meetings and Conventions magazine who has their readers select the properties to be considered for such awards. You know it’s great when the readers vote it so.

Sited on the 6,300-acre World Golf Village, you’ll find plenty to do there. Next door is the World Golf Hall of Fame - one of my favorite golf places. Two championship layouts – The King & Bear course (just down the road) and the Slammer & Squire course (right at your door step) will provide days of challenging golf.

The Renaissance Resort has been renovated with beautiful new rooms, furnishings, wood-wrapped columns and a spectacular 10-story atrium in the lobby.

For the non-golfers, there is the wonderful PGA Tour Spa Laterra. If you’d like to learn the game, check out the PGA Tour Golf Academy. There’s plenty of shopping, restaurants and the IMAX movie theater, too.

Get on the phone and set up your trip: 888-740-7020 or 904-940-8000. See their web site at: www.WorldGolfRenaissance.com.
