Junior Golf at Disney World
June 01, 2009
Juniors now have a chance to learn and play golf at multiple Walt Disney World courses starting this June. Just take a look at all the things children may do at this wonderful Orlando destination.

For kids 8-13 years old, there are five-day Junior Golf Camps. Here, junior golfers of all skill levels will get top-notch instruction from the PGA Teaching Staff at the location of the PGA Tour’s Children’s Miracle Network Classic tour event. The kids will experience drills and fun competition as well as some recreational swimming sessions after a good day’s workout. Camps start June 15, 2009, at the Palm/Magnolia/Oak Trail Courses.

There will also be a High School Golf Tour for golfers ages 14-18. They will be able to compete in weekly tournaments leading up to the Tour Championship to be held July 8 at the famous Disney Magnolia course. The Tour events start June 10.

For the 4th of July Weekend, Disney will offer free instruction for kids 17 and under at the terrific Osprey Ridge course from 8:30-11 am. There will be an exciting Junior/Parent Golf Tournament held there later that day (11:30 am shotgun start) with an alternate shot format. Kids and parents will be depending on each other for golfing expertise to post the lowest score and win the event.
