Florida is Where the Pros Play

The 2008 Tournament Schedules are out for the PGA Tour, Champions Tour (the Seniors), and the LPGA Tour. Have a look at all the events to be held in Florida!

 

After conducting their Qualifying School Finals at Orange Co. National Golf Center & Lodge in Orlando, the PGA Tour will hold the following events in Florida this year:

  • Feb. 25 – March 2, Honda Classic, PGA National Champion Course, Palm Beach Gardens.
  • March 3 – 9, PODS Championship, Innisbrook Resort Copperhead Course, Palm Harbor.
  • March 10 – 16, Arnold Palmer Invitational, Bay Hill Club & Lodge, Orlando.
  • March 17 -23, World Golf Championship, Doral Resort Blue Monster Course, Miami.
  • May 5-11, The PLAYERS Championship, TPC Sawgrass Players Stadium Course, Ponte Vedra Beach.
  • Oct. 27 – Nov. 2, Ginn sur Mer Classic, Ginn Hammock Beach Resort Conservatory Course, Palm Coast.
  • Nov. 3 – 9, Children’s Miracle Network Classic, Walt Disney World Magnolia and Palm Courses, Lake Buena Vista.

The Champions Tour conducted its Q-School Finals at TPC Eagle Trace in Coral Springs and will hold these events in Florida:

  • Feb. 4 -10, Allianz Championship, Old Course at Broken Sound Club, Boca Raton.
  • Feb. 11- 17, ACE Group Classic, Quail West GC, Naples.
  • March 24 -30, Ginn Championship at Hammock Beach, Ocean Course at Hammock Beach, Palm Coast.
  • April 14 -20, Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am, TPC Tampa Bay, Lutz.
  • Dec. 1- 2, Del Webb Father-Son Challenge, ChampionsGate GC International Course, ChampionsGate (Orlando).

The ladies held their LPGA Tour Final Qualifying Tournament at the LPGA International located in Daytona Beach. They will hold this group of tournaments in Florida:

  • April 17-20, Ginn Open, Ginn Reunion Resort, Orlando.
  • April 21-27, Stanford International Pro-Am, Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club, Aventura.
  • Nov. 20-23, ADT Championship, Trump International Golf Club, West Palm Beach.

This should be ample evidence that the pros know where the best golf is – Florida!

If you have never been to a top professional Tour event you should try to arrange your visit to Florida for the above dates and watch the world’s best golfers do battle on these top layouts.
