This Saturday, November 8th, bring your kids for an afternoon of free family fun at the 1st Annual “World Champion Weekend.” Tony “G” Gemignani, Food Network star and 9 Time World Pizza Champion, is hosting this celebrity charity event and just look at the lineup of fun things to do:
- FREE family entertainment from face painting and balloon art, to a bounce house and a live DJ
- Savor Italian favorites like World Champion Pies prepared Naples DOP style exclusively by Tony G (this is the best pizza you’ve ever tasted); also available will be sausage & peppers, gelato, and a specialty wine tasting tent for the adults, plus cotton candy and popcorn
- Tony G will perform his elaborate acrobatic dough throw and host an exclusive Kids Dough Toss. For $5.00, you can purchase a pizza dough toss kit that includes a free “World Champion Weekend” t-shirt
- Remember the rock band Creed? Former member (and Grammy Award winner) Scott Stapp, along with his wife, Mrs. Florida 2008 Jaclyn Stapp, will be on hand to champion their cause, The Scott Stapp With Arms Wide Open Foundation
Other charities benefiting from this free event include the Andy Roddick Foundation and the Sun-Sentinel Children’s Fund. If you’re feeling generous, bring your checkbook as they’ll be auctioning off pizza pies for a minimum of $1,000 to benefit these charities – that should be fun to watch!
Coal Mine Pizza, Boca Raton’s neighborhood family pizzeria (known for their coal fired pizza pies) is where you’ll need to go to get in on all this action. If you’re anywhere near the area, take a drive on over. This promises to be a good time – and all for a good cause.
Family Fun Day will be 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Saturday November 8, 2008, at Coal Mine Pizza, 399 SE Mizner Boulevard, Royal Palm Place
Boca Raton, FL 33432 (561) 826-2625.
