| Steakhouses continue to appear on the Florida dining scene--maybe it's something about the sun and the surf that makes us crave a great steak--and the new steakhouses really are going for the upscale experience.
One relative newcomer to is Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse, an outpost of the Cleveland area group, featuring prime, aged steaks, chops and fresh seafood, which opened last November for the winter season in Daytona Beach’s Hilton, near the convention center, with views of the ocean. A second Florida Hyde Park opened recently for dinner in Sarasota (lunches to come in October 2008).
The Daytona Hyde Park features an outdoor dining area and bar are part of this location, so if the weather is great, get there for happy hours and one of Hyde Park's famous $4 Martinis and small plate specials while you people-watch. Then stay for dinner and enjoy a great steak.
The Sarasota Hyde Park also has outdoor dining, the same happy hour specials and, for the cooler winter months, a cozy fireplace.
