Just had to share this shot of tupelo honey, beautiful in all its simplicity. Tupelo honey this pure is harvested only in the Apalachicola River area, where white tupelo trees are plentiful and where beekeepers make a point of gathering pure tupelo honey for about three or four weeks in late April/early May every year.
Glynnis Lanier talked me through a recipe for using tupelo honey in oatmeal cookies. I'm working on refining the recipe, but I'll be sure to share it with you here ... |
