2009 Coral Gables Restaurant Weeks
May 15, 2009
Start making plans now for the 2009 Coral Gables Restaurant Week, from June 1 to June 14. (Okay. We'll call it Restaurant Weeks.)

Local restaurants feature special menus throughout this event with prices at least 20 percent off regular pricing. It's a popular event for patrons and restaurants alike. Some of the best-known restaurants participate, including Ortanique, Cacao, Le Provencal, Two Sisters and many more.

The 14-day event opens with a bash: The Taste of the Gables on May 28 from 6 to 9 p.m. The Restaurant Week restaurants will be there offering free samples of chefs' favorites, then the guests get to vote for their top tastes.

Taste of the Gables is a free event and draws a big crowd, and the restaurant owners seem to enjoy it every bit as much as the guests. "Who doesn't enjoy a great party along with the chance to indulge in food from some of Miami's best restaurants?" says Wayne Eldred, general manager at Tarpon Bend and Raw Bar in Coral Gables.

So mark your calendars now for a free party on May 29, and make sure you get to one (or many more) of the participating restaurants from June 1 to June 14.

See more information on the Coral Gables Restaurant Week website. And why not invite some friends to share in the fun by sending them a cool video invitation at www.sharealittlesunshine.org.
