One of the unexpected bonuses of Florida's growing seasons are harvest festivals when you least expect them.
Lakeridge Winery welcomes visitors to its vineyards June 12, 13 and 14 for the 18th Annual Harvest Festival, where you'll find food, fun and grape stomping. Oh, wine tasting, too, by the way. (A $2 donation admission goes to Hospice Foundation.) Now's your chance to get stomping the old-fashioned way.
Lakeridge is open year 'round and just 25 miles west of Orlando -- if you can't make it to the Harvest Festival, stop by for tours and tastes if you're in central Florida and looking for a day away from the bustle of Orlando. The family-owned winery has been producing award-winning wines here in Florida for years.
