| Clearwater Debuts New Beach Walk |

Clearwater Beach has proudly opened its new Beach Walk a full six months ahead of schedule. The $30 million face-lift and redesign of the beach front has created "a winding beach-side promenade with landscaping, unique amenities, improved pedestrian access, and views of Clearwater's award-winning beach and the Gulf of Mexico."
A Beach Walk dedication and special celebration, including fireworks, will take place at Pier 60 on Saturday, July 19, 2008.
If you've been to Clearwater Beach previously, you'll still recognize the pier, the marina, and the shops, but you'll find it much easier to drive through, find parking and walk around. Much of the traffic has been re-routed away from the beach front, and wide, paved promenades curve gracefully along Gulfview Blvd. It's a great place to go for a walk, have a bite to eat or drink and pick up a few gifts or souvenirs. And be sure to hang around for the sunset.
