Celebrate Earth Day Early at Florida Botanical Gardens
April 15, 2009
Celebrate Earth Day a few days early in Largo (24 miles west of Tampa) at the Florida Botanical Gardens. Admission is free from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 18. This is also Market in the Park day with lots of products and produce (I'm there). Exhibits and experts will share ways to protect our environment. Extension experts will give talks on how to green your home and save money by going green.

This is a family event and it is free! The first 60 participants get a free native oak tree as a gift.

My son Chris and I visited Florida Botanical Gardens and had a great time. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Enjoy.

And the actual date for Earth Day? That would be April 22.
