Earth Day at Bahia Honda in the Keys
April 13, 2009
Admission to Bahia Honda State Park on Big Pine Key is free this Saturday, April 18 for their 14th annual Earth Day Celebration from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Come early, parking is limited. Bahia Honda is a wonderful linear park - long and narrow, with lots of access to the Atlantic Ocean. For their Earth Day celebration you can join a sand sculpture contest, have our face painted, watch puppet shows, hear live music and have some good food.

Save-A-Turtle organization is the co-host of this event and will have activities and display booths. The Florida Keys Astronomy Club plans to set up telescopes with special lenses for viewing the sun.

This is a family event and it is free! Enjoy.
