March 16, 2009
This coming weekend, Saturday, March 21 and Sunday, March 22, Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota has its annual spring plant and garden festival. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Special admission price is $8 (the usual admission price is $17)

Tropical plants for sale along with lots of 'how to' demonstrations and a chance to walk around the beautiful gardens, see the Banyan Forest, the Mangrove Walkway, visit the garden shop and view their great collection of orchids. This is a beautiful garden for strolling. Selby has the added plus of being right on Sarasota Bay. Enjoy.
