Watch Liftoff at Kennedy Space Center

If all goes as planned there will be a morning launch of Space Shuttle Discovery on Thursday, Feb. 12 at about 7:30 a.m. The flight goes to the International Space Station to bring a set of solar arrays for providing power. Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata will launch with the crew, making history as the first resident station crew member from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency.

Admission tickets must be purchased in advance to get a car placard for entry into Kennedy Space Center. Visitor Complex admission is $38 plus tax for adults and $28 plus tax for children ages 3-11. This includes viewing the Space Shuttle Discovery launch from the Visitor Complex. Also, there are special buffets available with visiting astronauts.
