Nothing makes me happier than a great street festival!
On the border of Sarasota and Bradenton counties lies a community that will come alive this weekend in the spirit of the arts. On Saturday, Feb. 7 in the neighborhood of Lakewood Ranch, a day-long celebration will take over. Entitled Ovation, the day's festivities will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will include "live performances, special demonstrations and interactive displays that will bring the street to life."
Attracting people of all ages, the festival will feature a stage in the center of Main Street that will welcome dancers, live music and even a magic show for children. Participants in the festival include local arts mainstays including the Asolo Repertory Theater, South Florida Museum, Sarasota Ballet, Fuzion Dance Artists and the Sarasota Opera.
