Mark your calendars because you wont want to miss out as flamenco fever takes over South Florida this season. Tickets are on sale now (starting at $35) for February's Flamenco Festival Miami, a stunning showcase of the passionate dance hailing from the rolling hills of Spain.
The month-long festival will feature three main performances at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami:
- Feb. 12 and 13: The U.S. premiere of Carmen by the renowned Antonio Gades Company
- Feb 19: A stunning musical performance by Estrella Morente
- Feb 28: "The first family of flamenco dance" Los Farruco
And don't forget your dancing shoes because there will be plenty of dance classes and
parties for beginners and experts (and everyone in between) to try out their moves. Prefer to stay on the sidelines? Check out the numerous film screenings and exhibits.
Don't wait to get your tickets, though. The festival was completely sold out last year. |
