30 Days of Discovery: Sarasota and Her Islands
September 04, 2008
When it comes to entertainment options, who doesn’t love a discount? With the hopes of “educating and enriching people of all ages,” local museums and cultural centers in Sarasota and Her Islands will offer state residents a deep discount on admission throughout the month of September!

The “30 Days of Discovery” promotion offers a “buy one, get one free” admission discount at the following locations:

Marie Selby Botanical Gardens
John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art
Crowley Museum and Nature Center
Mote Aquarium
Historic Spanish Point
G. WIZ, The Hands-On Science Museum
South Florida Museum
Sarasota Jungle Gardens

For those not lucky enough to live on the "Culture Coast", booking accommodations will be a breeze. Local hotels and resorts are getting in on the action by offering special rates. For more details on the program and participating hotels, visit www.30daysofdiscovery.com.

And if that's not enough, downtown Sarasota also offers an amazing array of galleries, book stores, theaters and shops for any arts & culture lover to enjoy. A few noteworthy stops include Venice Main Street, the artist neighborhood of Towles Court, and the Florida West Coast symphony, which can be found in the Edwards Theatre.

To learn more about additional opportunities to save and discover art in Sarasota, call the Sarasota Convention & Visitors Bureau at (800) 522-9799 or visit www.sarasotafl.org.
