Film Festivals Shine On
March 13, 2008
Those suffering from cinematic withdrawal after the close of the Miami International Film Festival this March 9 can get a fairly immediate fix at the third annual Sunscreen Film Festival running March 19-22, presented by the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Film Society.

Showcasing works by local and national filmmakers, the fest also presents lots of hobnobbing and networking opportunities with peers and industry professionals. Translation: If you’re a celebrity seeker, you might see the likes of John Travolta and Kelly Preston, who are known to support the event.

The schedule for the screenings, workshops and parties—the latter being what some consider the best feature!—is being finalized and printed right now. But if you can’t wait to find out what's being shown and plan accordingly, click here for film summaries.

The festival will be held at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort & Golf Club and feature more than 70 independent films. For more info, visit http://www.sunscreenfilmfestival.com.
