| Ya know, come to think of it, I’m tired of going out to dinner all the time, eating great food and drinking fabulous wine. So since you asked, for Valentine’s Day this year, I believe I need a change of pace. One like, say, being serenaded under the Fort Lauderdale stars by a brass quintet.
If that sounds like your ticket, too, then head over to Bonnet House Museum & Gardens this February. That’s where the University of Miami Brass Quintet will be performing, starting at 7 p.m., as part of the Young Artist Music Series. Nothing like getting mushy to the mellow sounds of a trumpet mating with a French horn.
And there will be more student goodwill immediately following the hour-long performance, when the Art Institute Culinary School will provide tasty canapés, desserts, coffee and wine. Whoops, guess I’ll be getting the vino on after all. Oh well, I’ll have to make the best of it—I wouldn’t want to let my sweetie down by not enjoying every aspect.
$25.00 per performance for Bonnet House members and $30 per performance for non-member. For more information, please call (954)563-5393 Ext. 124. Purchase tickets through Pay Pal by visiting www.bonnethouse.org and clicking on Exhibits and Events. |
