The grace of a ballet dancer is unparalleled, and what better place than Florida to enjoy this classic dance. Dancers and avid ballet enthusiasts can enjoy a special treat this week as the Central Florida Ballet will host the 2009 World Ballet Competition at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center in Orlando. Running from June 23 -27, the event will welcome some of the most talented, dedicated and expressive dancers from all over the world including countries like Russia, Panama, Romania and Japan as they battle for up to $10,000 in awards and scholarships.
As an added bonus, those who won't be able to make it to the event will have an opportunity to watch the live streaming video of the event online.
Admission is $25-50 for the concluding "Gala of the Stars" performance and tickets are selling out fast.
