Meet and Greet Lucy, Be the Dino
January 23, 2008
You've always loved prehistory. Now you can spend a full day in Fort Myers indulging youself--at not one but two different awesome museums!

First, at the Southwest Florida Museum of History, meet the most famous fossil of our time, Lucy, and absorb 50 million years of skeletons, skulls, tools and other artifacts from the dawn on mankind. The "Lucy: Story of Human Origins" exhibit runs from February 15-June 12, so you can return to these fascinating remnants of our beginnings again and again. See www.cityftmyers.com/museum or call 239-332-5955 for more details.

Then, 1/2 mile away, you go can back even earlier in time--65 million years, to be exact--at the Imaginarium Hands-On Museum and Aquarium. Here, from February 4 to April 28, the interactive "Be the Dinosaur" exhibit will allow guests to actually inhabit the world of the creatures we can usually only dream (or have nightmares) about. Jurassic Park or virtual reality? You decide! Visit www.cityftmyers.com/imaginarium or call 239-337-3332 for more info.
