So what exactly is a "Pecha Kucha"?
Pecha Kucha is a Japanese term for "chit chat" that is also a "creative networking forum for the presentation of innovative ideas, products and projects" - an exciting new trend in art circles. This worldly concept is actually hosted in a similar format in more than 180 countries and provides a unique and lively forum for the conversations about art.
For lovers and enthusiasts in South Florida, this translates into an action packed evening of art presentation enjoyed amidst a sea of like-minded creative types at the Wolsonian-FIU Museum in Miami. The actual event will be held on June 18 from 7-9 p.m, but event organizers will be screening applications until June 10 for artists wishing to present a 4 minute and 40 second slideshow of their artistic endeavors .
