While Veteran's Day won't roll around until Nov. 11, there are numerous opportunities to celebrate and support those who have fought for our country year 'round. One of the most interesting that comes to mind is an art exhibition sponsored by The von Liebig Art Center in Naples.
Entitled "Robert Luvall: An American Impressionist," the exhibition is featured at the Physicians Regional Hospital Medical Center as part of its "healing hospitality program" and features 29 Impressionist paintings, eight drawings and one lithograph print. Artist and soldier Luvall, who currently resides in Bonita Springs, honed his craft after the end of WWII during an eight-year stint in art school in Paris. His work has been shown all over the world in places like London, Brussels, Cannes, Chicago and New York. How inspiring!
The exhibition will run until May 27, 2009. To learn more, call 239-262-6517. |
