The cultural renaissance happening in South Florida has made headlines all over the world. With major events like Art Basel and the Winter Music Conference taking place here, it is undeniable that Florida has made a significant contribution to the global cultural landscape. World renowned artists, students and now even children are getting in on the artsy action!
The prominent Miami non-profit Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation, known to locals simply as CIFO, will offer "A Family Cultural Spot @ CIFO" taught by a former Guggenheim educator and a local art historian on Saturday, April 4. The mini camp session will allow children to uncover their creative identity through the creation of self portraits, a guided tour through a local arts exhibition and more!
The workshop will be offered at a cost of $12 each for children ages 5 to 10 years old and will be held from 1to 3 p.m. Visit the web site here for more info. For those who cant make it this time around, keep your ears open for details on the 2009 Summer of Fun Art Camp! |
