The Miami International Film Festival is back! On Saturday, March 7 in Miami, the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts and GenArt will co-host the premiere of "Berlin Calling" a Hannes Stoehr film about the art of DJ-ing. Following the tale of fictional DJ Ickarus through a difficult relationship, the tumultuous record industry and ultimately a Berlin psychiatric clinic, audiences are taken through a tour of the underground techno music scene of the city.
And for those looking for more, the entire festival will run from March 6-15, with numerous theaters showcasing short films, feature films and documentaries from 140 countries including Lebanon, Argentina, Ethiopia and Italy.
Last year's event brought out more than 75,000 people, so be sure to book your tickets asap! To order tickets and learn more about the other films to be screened at the film festival visit www.miamifilmfestival.com. |
