Florida art comes in many shapes and sizes. The Peace River Quilters' Guild, a 300-member non-profit, will host the 10th Biennial Quilt Festival in Punta Gorda from Feb. 27-28. The event will feature more than 280 quilts, more than 25 vendors and a large boutique. A silent auction will be held each day, along with the raffling of door prizes and a continuous demonstration area.
Collectible quilts will be raffled off throughout the day including "Pieceful Paradise," a work of art that showcases the land, water and sky of southwest Florida illustrated by the use of tropical colors, portraits of waterfowl and a centerpiece of exotic flowers.
If you want to bring friends and family along, but quilting isn't necessarily their passion, never fear! The Guild has teamed up with the Veteran Motor Car Club of America who will also have their collection of antique cars on display.

Happy quilting!
