Kevin's Blog Outdoors & Nature

I'm a freelance writer and videographer, and spend most of my days exploring Florida's natural wonders from a kayak, a bike or rambling down a hiking trail. A Florida native living in Citrus County, you'll often find me watching the boats go by on the Homosassa River. I'm always sharing stories, photos and videos, so follow along and together we'll discover Florida's natural treasures.

My Latest Q & A
Asked by Mary hattie on May 23, 2012
Q: Where are some great snorkeling areas in florida? Also, do I need a boat to get to three sisters river to go snorkeling?
Asked by Sarah on May 22, 2012
Q: I've been looking all over the place for a discount code for Discovery Cove for September 2012. I have a family of 8 and I can not afford to pay full price to go there. I would love to take everyone there. Does anyone have an answer? If not, can anyone tell me where we can snorkel near Kissimmee in September (don't have any gear...eg. life jackets, fins and masks)? I would love to not only go to WDW but also do something fun for my under privileged nephews. An answer to this question is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
