On May 26th and 27th, Maharaj Tennis along with Omni Amelia Island Plantation will be conducting adult and junior tennis events and then donating 100% of the proceeds to the ThanksUSA initiative. “Tennis Thanks the Troops” is a United States Professional Tennis Association fund raiser to assist ThanksUSA in funding scholarships for the families of military men and women. As part of this national initiative, tennis professionals across the country are being asked to donate their time over the Memorial Day weekend by hosting clinics and/or events. Donations will be accepted from the participants and then given to ThanksUSA. Since its inception in 2006, ThanksUSA has awarded 2,500 scholarships totaling nearly $7.5 million dollars.
