Osceola is the most famous Seminole who has ever lived. The impact of his life and legacy is profound, even 170 years after his death. However, the lines between fact and myth have often been blurred in the re-telling of his story. The Seminole Tribe's Osceola Remembered exhibit is an opportunity to learn about the man, the myth, and the legacy from the Seminole perspective. Items on display include military objects from the Seminole wars, handwritten letters, transcribed oral histories and more including objects purportedly owned by Osceola himself. This unique exhibition presents various points of view regarding the man and his life, allowing the visitor to define Osceola for him or herself. The Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki museum is open daily from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and is located in the Big Cypress Seminole Indian Reservation north of I-75 at exit 49.
