Florida Keys Offer One-of-a-Kind Wedding Wonders

By: Florida Keys and Key West Tourism Development Council

Make your special day truly extraordinary with unique weddings in the Florida Keys.

Most little girls dream of their wedding day, but some dreams are more unusual than others. For the bride who wants to walk off the beaten path to the altar, the Florida Keys & Key West offer warm weather, breathtaking sunsets and one-of-a-kind wedding opportunities.
In Key Largo, certified divers can pledge their vows beside a coral reef or at the bronze Christ of the Deep statue. Amy Slate’s Amoray Dive Resort in Key Largo specializes in underwater weddings, whether a diver’s dream is an intimate ceremony for two or a soiree for more than 200.

Couples dive down with Amy Slate or another notary to exchange vows written on a slate and check the “I do” box to seal the deal. The resort provides the bride with a flower-filled conch shell for her bouquet and the groom with a tuxedo T-shirt. Guests can dive down with the couple, snorkel from above or wait on the dive boat during the ceremony.

Receptions can take place aboard Amoray’s 45-foot catamaran or back at the beautiful bayfront resort. For more information, visit www.amoray.com
