Description:

Home to a 7,271-acre wilderness preserve located in the mangrove forest, the preserve is a prime example of how this region looked before the arrival of the first European explorers. A limited number of visitors are allowed to visit the preserve each day by canoe. It is a 13.5-mile canoe trip through the preserve, which offers primitive camping for overnight stays. Campers wishing to camp overnight at the preserve must supply their own vessel. The park has 120 additional campsites.

Jammin' in the Hammock

Come enjoy the annual bluegrass festival featuring a variety of bands, foods, and craft vendors. The concert is held rain or shine. No pets, alcohol, smoking, or coolers are permitted in the festival area. The cost of the festival does not cover camping rates in the campground.
