Sanibel’s ‘Ding’ Darling National Wildlife Refuge

You’d be a ding-dong to skip a trip to the ‘Ding’ Darling National Wildlife Refuge if you’re in Sanibel – so don’t!

The pristine paradise is famed worldwide for its spectacular migratory bird populations and is part of the largest undeveloped mangrove ecosystem in the United States.

You can bike, hike, fish or kayak there. Or, you can do what we did -- just explore in your car on the Wildlife Drive. Check out my little flick and I’ll bet you a beach towel that you’ll be packing your bags before the next high tide.
