MacArthur Beach State Park Video Will Float Your Flip-Flops!

    By Lauren Tjaden

It seems as unlikely – and refreshing – as finding an ice cream cone in the middle of the desert.

John D. MacArthur Beach State Park (10900 Jack Nicklaus Drive, North Palm Beach, FL 33408, Phone: 561-624-6950) interrupts the buildings, traffic, noise and bustle of the city, offering a sanctuary for native plants and animals – and for you, too!

You can rent a kayak and paddle through the mangroves, flutter through the butterfly garden or hike the nature trails. Or you can do what I did: Take the free shuttle (a golf cart) over the boardwalk to the beach and hang out there. Check out my video!
