Ride a JetLev Water Jetpack in Florida on Tradewinds Island

    By Jill Martin

In the 1965 James Bond movie Thunderball, Agent 007 uses a jetpack to escape from the bad guys.

You don't need James Bond's swagger, or even a cool code name, to experience your flying in your own water jetpack in Florida. At the TradeWinds Island Grand on St. Pete Beach, you can know the thrill of flying, diving beneath the water and even walking on water with the help of the JetLev.

You will experience the feeling of total weightlessness as you hover and fly up to 30 feet above water at 30 miles per hour. You can even dive below the surface. This is something out of the Jetsons cartoon for sure, but it’s a reality in the 21st century. Lucky us!

The TradeWinds JetLev experience is super-easy and super-safe; you’ll get full instructions. Each session is 45 minutes, with a ride time of 30 minutes. The cost is $199 per person for both hotel guests and non-guests. Fliers must be at least 18 years of age. Water jetpacking in Florida would make an unforgettable gift idea.
