All Aboard: Explore Key West with Conch Tour Trains

    By Carrie McLaren

A few months ago, I introduced my family to the city of Key West. While I had visited this great city years ago, it was my family’s first time – and I knew the best way to show them the highlights was to climb aboard the Conch Tour Train.

With three stops throughout town, this 90-minute tour takes riders on a unique view of the city, filled with fun facts and trivia along the way.

From seeing the Southernmost point in the continental United States to driving down the longest street (1.5 miles) on the island, it was fun to see the city from a local’s point of view.

Hopping on the Conch Tour Train is also a great way for newbies to learn their way around town before venturing out on their own, too.

We passed by such places as the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum, the Key West Lighthouse, the Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory, the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Key West and tons of great stores and galleries on Duval Street.

And here’s a great bonus – children under the age of 12 get to ride FREE!

Insider Tip: For the ultimate savings, purchase advance tickets online and save money. Conch Tour Trains also offers some great package deals for the tour and numerous attractions, too.
