If you're looking for a unique experience during your visit to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, sign up for the daily‘Lunch with an Astronaut’ encounter.

This 90-minute encounter at the Space Center in Cape Canaveral features a buffet-style lunch along with a personalized presentation from one of NASA’s acclaimed astronauts.

At the end of the event, there's a brief question-and-answer session, plus time for family photos with the astronaut.

Astronauts describe what it's like to live in space – eating, exercising, sleeping and training. No topic is off-limits.

There's no age requirement for this experience, and it's perfect for self-proclaimed ‘space geeks’.

  • Allow 90 minutes for this experience.
  • Seating is limited, so plan ahead and reserve your spot in advance, either online or at the ticket information center.
  • Don’t forget your camera. Individual photos with the astronaut are available at the conclusion of the event.

Meeting an astronaut was really a treat; I was just as excited as my kids. We enjoyed learning about space travel and what it takes to become an astronaut.
