No matter your age, there is just something special about riding a carousel. It brings the child out in all of us. When we travel, if my girls see a carousel, they beg to go on it.  Who am I to argue with two toddlers?!

Here are a few of my favorite carousels in Florida:

The Caro-Seuss-el
Located at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure, the Caro-Seuss-el brings all of the characters from Dr. Seuss books to life!  Some of the characters you can ride include elephant birds from Horton Hatches the Egg; twin camels from One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish and more.  Push back on the reins and see the animal’s facial expressions change too!

Jacksonville Zoo Wildlife Carousel
For only $2, you can take a ride on this beautiful wildlife carousel featuring tigers, lions and more!  See the animals at the zoo and then experience this fun carousel. Be sure to have your camera ready for a picture on the zebra horse!

Baytown Carousel
In the heart of SanDestin’s Village of Baytowne Wharf, kids of all ages can choose from race cars, zebras and reindeer for their carousel ride.  Amidst the lights and music, it’s sure to be a fun ride!

Prince Charming Regal Carrousel
Just beyond Cinderella’s Castle at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, you’ll find this ornate carousel with 90 wood carved horses.  Be on the lookout for the horse with the golden ribbon – that’s Cinderella’s horse!

Carousel at Downtown at the Gardens
This Florida themed merry-go-round in Palm Beach Gardens features 27 creatures and is surrounded by paintings of Florida wildlife and flowers.
