Explore the Cape Florida Lighthouse at Key Biscayne in Miami

Last week I was on Key Biscayne for a VISIT FLORIDA assignment with Insiders Hilda and Jill. I had some downtime and one can sit poolside at the Ritz-Carlton for only so long. After a nap in a lounge chair I decided it was time for a little exercise and sightseeing.

I headed for Cape Florida Lighthouse inside Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park. Climbing the steps to the top of the 95-foot tower was a workout but the view from the top was so worth it. There's just something about lighthouses. They're so majestic and mysterious.

If you're in the Key Biscayne area check out the view with your own eyes. Park admission's free. Afterward grab lunch at the Lighthouse Cafe.
