Looking for some hills? Take a ride along the Green Mountain Scenic Byway, which includes Sugarloaf Mountain, the highest point in peninsular Florida at 312 feet. Most of the highway runs along the western and southern shore of Lake Apopka. The hills and winding roadway draws cyclists from around the world for competition, training, and touring. Visitors are taken to the small towns of Ferndale, Oakland and Montverde, with its moss-draped cemetery and 125-acre campus of Montverde Academy.
