To Fly: Aviation Renovation

Now - August 01, 2020
The highlight of the exhibit space will be a new state-of-the art 7D capsule theater that will take visitors on an exhilarating flight through the sky. This new exhibit experience will use a 3D aviation film, moving seats, and multi-sensory effects to create an unforgettable, educational, and exciting experience. The new look will take shape gradually between August and November and the hall will remain open during this time. The new Simulation Theater will be installed in early December and ready for take off on December 19, 2014. Made possible by a generous gift from the Emil Buehler Perpetual Trust.

Friends of MODS Presents Superhero Soiree

The Museum of Discovery and Science’s auxiliary group, Friends of MODS, along with Club 2-1-1, will host “Superhero Soiree” on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 6 p.m. featuring a screening of Marvel Studios production of Avengers: Age of Ultron: An IMAX ® 3D Experience. The price of admission to Superhero Soiree at the Museum includes access to the reception, complete with open bar and themed ‘superhero’ cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a special silent auction, DJ, raffle prizes, plus entry to the AutoNation IMAX 3D Theater!
